Background voices aka luis letra born in the city of Vila Real in Portugal on the year of 1984. In 2004 he start to get involve in the psychadelic movement, and soon he realise that movement completed himself. Since then, he start to mixing in some friend..s party..s, in Portugal and Holland. Some time later he share the stage with international names like: Khaos Sektor, illow, Solis, Mekanical Mind, Orestis, Polyphonia, Psytoon, Hikuri and others… A powerful sound involved evil places and macabre melodies.

the music i play could be best described as very colourfull and emotional psytrance with groovy and crazy basslines around 148 bpm.
Or sayed with other words: when u see the happy, smiling,dancing people on the floor!!!

My mission when I play is to help people to find his divine being…I think that our body have some kind of ancient memory and trough dancing
we can remember the past and future experiences of our souls.

History:

Since i was little music and dance were always my passion. I experienced myself in different music styles such as punk, reggae and psychedelic.
Music is one of the best ways to communicate with people on a different level. When I went at my first big open air trance party in Switzerland I enjoyed for the first time this harmonic feeling between thousands of people dancing together and spre

spreading this strong energy of understanding and love. In this moment I decided to do my part to participate in the “revolution of my generation”.
A revolution that moves dancing in all corners of the world and speaks about love for the planet earth and brotherhood.

My first appearance at the trance stages of the world was in the year 2002 when I slipped into the lineup of the “street parade” in Aosta (Italy)
because one of the djs wasn’t able to come to play, so the organizer asked me to do the job – and I DID quit well I guess;)

I already shared the stage with such famous names like: shpongle,laughing buddha, rastaliens, ocelot, DJane akbal, master margherita, Lenz and others.

I’m grateful for all the friends who supports me on my way, for all dancing brothers and sisters,
and all the people who are working to find their divine being…..

Kutanimal is Fábio Fauvrelle who is originally from Mozambique. At a very young age he moved to Portugal where he lived for 17 years but after that he also spent time living in England, France and Holland. His musical journey began at age of 7 when he played techno and house records with his brother and cousin who was a popular artist in house/techno/break beats Carlos Fauvrelle aka Morrice. During the 90’s Fabio was playing a guitar in a few thrash metalgarage bands. In ’97 came his first contact with the psychedelic scene and in 2000 he began djing psytrance. Since then he has organised private as well as free parties with the intention of showcasing new talents. This intention was fulfilled at least twice when he was the first to book both LAB, and 2 years later, Rawar. Both of whom have now become respected international artists. In ’07 Kutanimal’s hard work finally paid off and he was signed as a label dj to fast growing Pleiadian Records (Mexico), later that year he also Join Triplag Music Family (Irland/Russia) and finally in 2009 Kutanimal join Urban Antidote Records (Portugal) the first portuguese org to reconize his skills as a dj an accomplishment he is particularly proud of… His dj set are night Twisted hard times very psychedelic music and alot power ,speed & Madness…

Deo aka Deodato Evangelista, born in Portugal the 3rd June 1977, founding member of Trance Karma and creator of TK Records, is connected to the Psychedelic electronic movement and trance parties since their appearance in Portugal in the 90’s. In the year 2000, after attending several parties, he decides to sort out some free parties with the help of friends with the main purpose of sharing the taste for music and atmosphere only they provide. Deo’s contact with producers gave him the opportunity to learn and share ideas, putting him only a step away from seeing what was happening in the rest of the world, particularly in Europe, Brazil and Africa. These experiences opened new doors and gave him the know how over the whole events production scene. His cooperation with known producers in Portugal and Europe would grow larger and even stronger after cooperating with Good Mood and Boom Festival 2002 and 2004. In 2004 Trance Karma Productions arises from the union between the ideals of Deo and Pedro. The goal was not only to produce national events but also outside, internationally. That same year, in the New Year’s Eve celebrations, Trance Karma and Quest4Goa made a very successful 2 days party – the Holographic Reality Fusion, – as well as the Pagan Mask Dance party during the carnival celebrations. The summer of 2005 took place in the Rhythms of Peace Festival in Morocco, in which Trance Karma left its mark. Later that year, after leaving the Moroccan Riff, Trance Karma joined their friends from France – The World People – to organize the 1st edition of the freaks Blast Festival for the New Years Eve celebration. In the summer of 2006 the tour was in Italy, where the creative and artistic responsibility of the Sonica festival was entirely Trance Karma’s and once again the New Years Eve celebration was built successfully with the World People on the Freaks Blast 2nd edition. In 2007 Deo was invited by the Crystal Matrix to make part of the construction of the Freedom Festival. In this festival he created some areas where the event took place. The 3rd edition of the Freaks Blast was a natural consequence of the work developed in the years before and once again the same team constructed the entire event. Besides the mentioned festivals, Deo has been producing numerous musical events in bars and discos, in known spaces like the Coliseu dos Recreios, Passeio Marítimo de Lisboa, sports events as the Laureus of Sports Cascais 2005, publicity events at Expo-Farmácia – FIL, presentation of the Class C Mercedes models in Spain, fashion shows, as well as some parties in Spain. Deo had his first music contact in the late 80..s with the Punk movement. The aggressive music and social critic that marks the movement made him join a group called “Strain”, but not for a very long time, for the finding of electronic music in the 90..s took him to other dimensions. He learned how to mix a few tracks and started playing at small parties and later in some festivals.He shared the stage with names like: Menog, Tryambaka, Phyx, Brethren, Tickets, Artifakt, Nacked Tourist, Terraformers, Vibe Tribe, Talamsca, Derango, Parasense, and many more … DDue to his musical influences he plays strong energetic trance music or, on the other hand, melodic according to if he plays at night or in the morning. Always looking for new ideas and projects, he is preparing his first compilation for the most recent Portuguese editor, TK Records, to be released in December 2007 at the 2007/2008 Freaks Blast Festival.

Infected with what we call „Trancevirus“ i started my first underground trance partys back in 1996… from the very first beginning i felt connected to the strong vibes on the dancefloor so i started travelling around germany and the partys. In the next 4 years i experienced many floors around europe and germany. 2002 i decided to start with djing, the rest is history.
The most important thing for me is to push the people on the dancefloor and make them keep moving …
they start to get in trance when they can’t leave the floor … and thats our job:-)

What is “Dark Psychedelic Trance” ?
Trance crackers might be aghast at the thought that a blissful genre like trance could actually be…..*gulp*…..DARK….but in truth dark, evil-sounding trance was around before all the flighty, angelic crud. Trance, in its very basic form, is very cold and unfeeling stuff. Staccato synthlines, twitchy pulses, the subservience to technology. It’s no wonder the underground rivetheads picked up and understood this sound before the mainstream maaaah-sive club patrons did.
